Colchester Arts Center will feature children’s metal band Slay Duggee
YOUNG rock fans will have a blast when a children’s heavy metal band takes the stage at a downtown concert hall.
Five-dog Slay Duggee will return to the Colchester Arts Center in Church Street on November 27 with their now infamous, annual My First Metal Gig event.
Throughout the afternoon of controlled chaos, the band will perform rock covers of fan favorites such as Baby Shark, Daddy Finger, Sleeping Bunnies and Paw Patrol.
There will also be a heavy metal children’s disco, face painting, circular pits, lots of friendly moshing and a cheerful stage invasion to wrap up the show.
The show will again be held to raise money for Bentley’s baby boy, Angus Grocott, who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and requires frequent treatment.
Black Shuck, drummer of Slay Duggee, who once impressed radio DJ Steve Lamacq, thinks the band is part of childhood.
He said, “Slay Duggee presented an inclusive and accessible show and encourages everyone to get involved.
“It is vital that the children of the world receive a correct musical education. Slay Duggee is a key teaching tool for any responsible parent.
Tickets for the 1.30pm show, whose doors will open an hour before, cost £8 and can be purchased by visiting colchesterartscentre.com.
