East Lothian family festival to host Oasis tribute band and silent disco

A huge family festival is coming to East Lothian this summer with an Oasis tribute band, and even a silent disco.

Coming to Dunbar in June, the week-long event will see locals from across the region flock to the seaside town – hopefully in the sunshine.

From June 11-19, Dunbar Civic Week has announced the lineup for its seven days of festivities, which include indoor and outdoor events.

Speaking of the festival, the organizers shared that there will be visits from alpacas, magicians and even an Oasis tribute band to bring parents back to the good old days.

A historic festival in Dunbar, Civic Week has been given a modern new look for 2022, with celebrations starting with a day of family fun on June 11.

Featuring a parade, booths, a bouncy castle and a rock climbing wall, the weekend’s events will also include a food event at Lauderdale Park and a silent disco.

Trying to offer something for everyone, the week also includes a Harry Potter event, a yoga class and a board game tutorial for beginners.

Ending a week later, the festival will culminate in a “family rave” with glow-in-the-dark entertainment, a bar and games for the kids.
