Michael C. Hall, Peter Yanowitz and Matt Katz-Bohen Band Announce US Tour Dates

Hot on the heels of a sold-out European tour to close out 2021, Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum (Michael C. Hall, Peter Yanowitz and Matt Katz-Bohen) are thrilled to announce their first-ever North American tour this spring. .

The string of dates will begin March 20, 2022 at Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown, California, and will make its way across the United States through mid-May; making stops in Los Angeles, Denver, Phoenix, New Orleans, San Diego, Houston, New York and more. A fan presale will take place tomorrow and the public sale will begin on Friday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Tickets can be found here.

Led by charismatic frontman Michael C. Hall, the band’s live show is exciting and bizarre, fascinating and passionate. “When they started playing, the magic happened,” said When The Horn Blows. “From the opening notes of their set, the trio were a sight and a sound to behold. A piercing synth tore through the room as the night began an explosive journey of heavy electronic bass and almost vaudeville crooning. Meanwhile, the rows of lights shining through the smoke gave the room an almost ultraviolet feel, as if the whole show was just a shared hallucinogenic fever dream.”

Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum’s 2021 debut album THANKS FOR COMING showcases the band’s myriad influences that converge to create the sound that has been critically acclaimed since the release of Rolling’s band’s self-titled EP. Fueled by synthesizers and percussion, Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum is a whirlwind of glam, experimental and ambient music from David Bowie, 70s disco productions from Giorgio Moroder for Donna Summer, new wave dance music from the 80 and contemporary electronic dance like Justice.

Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum is made up of singer, lyricist, musician and actor Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), drummer Peter Yanowitz (The Wallflowers, Morningwood) and keyboardist Matt Katz- Bohen (Blondie).

The three band members met several years ago on Broadway during the production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Michael C. Hall is a musical talent and longtime Broadway performer, having played lead roles in Chicago, Cabaret, Hedwig and was selected by David Bowie to star in his musical, Lazarus. He has also received numerous accolades for his acting, including an Emmy Award nomination for his work on the HBO drama Six Feet Under and a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for the acclaimed Showtime series Dexter.

His bandmates have equally prodigious resumes. Peter Yanowitz began his career playing drums in The Wallflowers before co-founding indie stalwarts Morningwood and working with artists as varied as Natalie Merchant, Yoko Ono, Andrew WK, Allen Ginsberg and Billy Bragg & Wilco, who hired him to play. on their signature collaboration “Mermaid Avenue”. Keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen has spent the past decade touring and recording with Blondie, as well as working with Boy George and Cyndi Lauper.
